The Commoners' Shrine is a large temple in the Pale City, devoted primarily to Luseysi, but also numerous other religious figures. It was built to mirror the Lunar Shrine on the other side of the Blessed River, but unlike the Lunar Shrine, which, while open to all, traditionally offers greater services to the wealthy and powerful, the Commoners' Shrine is explicitly dedicated to ministry to the poor and weak.
As a deliberate mirror of the Lunar Shrine, the Commoners' Shrine had a similar design, including the octagonal central chamber, with statues of jadeite and marble ringing the interior of the shrine. A modest temple complex was also attached. Located in the heart of the Heights, the Shrine is one of the most prominent landmarks south of the River, and indeed in the whole City.
